Privacy & terms.
Ownpath FM is a shared listening room for ownpath and friends. Anyone can listen; team access uses a shared password and a chosen name.
Your information
We store team names, hashed session tokens, queues, and playlist settings to operate the station. Your name is visible when you DJ or contribute music. Names are lightweight identities: anyone with the shared password can reuse a name. Passwords are checked against a secure hash. We do not collect your YouTube account credentials.
A team session cookie lasts seven days. Listening volume and your privacy choice are stored locally in your browser. Connection information is processed by our hosting provider; we use a hashed network identifier to throttle login attempts.
YouTube and other providers
This station uses YouTube API Services for search, public video metadata, and embedded playback. Searches and video or playlist IDs are sent to YouTube to retrieve results. Video and audio stream directly from YouTube; we do not download, extract, or store them. YouTube may show advertisements and use cookies or similar device storage. Google Fonts also supplies this site’s typography.
By tuning in or joining the team, you agree to this privacy policy and to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google’s processing is described in the Google Privacy Policy. Google account permissions can be managed through Google security settings; Ownpath FM does not request Google account authorization.
Keeping and removing data
Search results expire after an hour, and video metadata is refreshed daily or removed from playback after 30 days without validation. Expired caches and sessions are cleaned up on active station requests. Inactive team profiles are removed after 30 days. You can remove your current profile, all its sessions, and its name from queued and recent tracks below. You must be signed in as that name to remove it.
Clearing listening settings removes your saved volume and privacy choice. To clear YouTube’s cookies or account information, use your browser’s storage controls and Google account settings. For privacy questions, contact the ownpath team that shared this station with you.
Sharing the room
Use music that YouTube permits to be embedded, respect other listeners, and keep the player visible while listening. Availability and synchronization can vary with ads, buffering, and regional restrictions. Team controls change the shared station; tuning and volume affect only your device.
